Takahashi Rochiku

Schools: Taizan Ryu, Oshu Kei, Shimpo Ryu Takahashi Rochiku is one of the foremost shakuhachi scholars, having contributed greatly to the shakuhachi community through his research and publications. He has studied Taizan Ryu extensively, and holds an important transmission of the Fudaiken style (Oshu Kei) having studied directly from Goto Tosui, whose teacher Hasegawa Togaku was the last head of Fudaiken.
