Born June 4, 1899 in Nara Prefecture.
Studied Meian-style shakuhachi under his father, Tominomori Senkyo, then with Ōnishi Shōto.
In the 3rd year of Taisho (1914), Tominomori received his masters certification from Fujita Shōchō, a student of the Soetsu school.
He then became a disciple of Kobayashi Shizan, the 36th head of Myoanji Temple. After that, he formed the Meian Dojo Tokyo branch and tried to popularize Meian shakuhachi in Tokyo.
Began giving private lessons in 1960.
Died May 29, 1975 in Tokyo.
